چکیده

This work aims to characterize the morphosedimentaty dynamics of shores Al-Hoceima Bay through geochemical and mineralogical analysis surface sediments. The results reveal a direct relationship between marine hydrodynamic forcing on one hand detrital inputs from land other. Calcimetric makes it possible highlight transport deposition processes at beaches bay. difference in reasonably high carbonate contents western (Isli, Cala Bonita Quemado) (> 60%) low central eastern zone (Sfiha, Souani, Salina Lharch) (≈ 15%) are mainly due influence coastal currents, littoral drift, fluvial action. higher levels heavy minerals Lharch beach (18%) expressed by volcanic outcrops Cap Quelates Jbel Tamsamen. values Souani Tayth (7% average) erosion two types NW-SE NNE-SSW, which carry sediments schist origin brought Oueds Ghiss Nekôr. In contrast, Sfiha (12%) attributed accumulation allochthonous drift carries volcanometamorphic Rass Quelates.

Physical, geochemical and mineralogical indicators of aging in Quaternary soils of Central Italy

In this paper, a set of physical, geochemical and mineralogical indicators are proposed for the correlation of soil age. The parameters studied allowed the highlighting of trends in soil aging as well as the relating of these trends to specific soil forming processes. Soil aging was marked by a progressive increase in clay content and a decrease in silt/clay ratio, a slight reduction in the CEC...

Identification of Sand Dune Sources in the East Sistan, Iran by Using Mineralogical and morphoscopic Characterization of Sediments

Sedimentation in the dune fields of the Sistan Plain of Iran is the result of deposition of fine-grained sediment downstream of the Helmand River. Due to poor adhesion and low moisture content of soil particles, and the strong renowned Levar wind, dune fields mostly of Barchan and Nebkha types are created. This study aims to assess the physical, morphological and mineralogical characteristics o...
